The National Car Test is aimed primarily at improving road safety and enhancing environmental protection. It applies to all cars from 4 years after they were first registered. Test certificates are valid for 2 years from the date when the test was due. Where a test is carried out before or after it is due, the two year term runs from the original date on which the test was due.

Our workshop is equipped with NCT centre standard equipment. We will provide you with a report of the tests carried out on your car and we will inform you of any items likely to cause a fail on your test. We will cost these items for you but we will not carry out any further work without the go-ahead from you.
If the cost of any additional repairs exceeds €250 and you decide to proceed with the repairs, we will offset the cost of your pre NCT check against the cost of the additional NCT work.
